Waffle Warmth:
Test Wrapping

Dobby Woven Scarf- 6.5”W x 72.5”L

Materials- Tencel Yarn, Merino Wool Yarn

This scarf was actually the test strip for a larger weaving where I experimented with folded double cloth to create a textile that is double the loom’s normal weaving width. I explored different waffle weave styles to figure out which one was the most visually interesting. This test was incredibly useful to find the right method to weave around the centerfold with a structure that has such long floats. I feel in love with it and kept it as a scarf.
